I have seen people put it under their posts; what is it about?

It's really complicated, it all started with this post
http://www.pierandsurf.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4840&highlight=warriors
It's a term that was given to me and FLF for being crazy enough to fish for days in all kinds of weather. Then this came along.
http://www.pierandsurf.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5894
If you read the threads, then you will understand where it came from. Honestly it's silly but it is fun being known as the Warriors.

Basically it's our friends that we feel fish the same way as me and FLF. Hat80, the prankster of our group, fishes just as much as anyone out there, Fish-on is always fishing somewhere and never gets skunked, he stays till he catches something then packs it up :D, Master Caster is a good friend of ours who just loves to fish, the main factor in being a fishing warrior, cocoflea, our northern rep is just like us, loves to fish but just lives too far away to be able to fish with us, so we made him a honorary member of our clan, Axon the man serving his country right now who will be back in less than 2 weeks and self proclaimed "founder" of the fishing warriors :p, just kidding with you buddy, he and FLF have always been fishing hard for as long as I can remember. I think that is everyone, I may have missed someone so let me know if I do.

These guys fish harder than anyone
I know!

Some of those mult-day fishing marathons
would kill me, I get tired just reading about them.
Stick me on a boat, pier or chair for
8hrs or so, feed me and then put me
to bed.

the longest time i have fished was 26hrs. Blues were bitting all night. I was tired of jigging after that.:p

I'm with you Talapia.

I enjoy fishing and being on the water, but 8 hours is plenty whether or not I'm catching fish.

Who won? Or did it even happen?

All that talk and then it just stopped.

And my longet fishing marathon was 4 days straight at CG Pier before Floyd when they were open 24/7/365.Always had at least two lines in the water and I slept on the white countertop under the platform. The scream of a reel clicker works better than any alarm I've ever seen.:D

they never did it!
but it did spawn the skunk crew. I'm the leader and have no official members cause you all will never admit to getting sckunked--but I know you are out there--you know who you are!

That's too much I know you guys catch fish so I would change your name to Team easy goer's or something Team skunk just doesn't fit.

Thanks to our leader HuskyMD, our army has grown larger and larger. Seasalt caught that cow last week, but's still a proud member of team skunk, so am I. Go Team Skunk!!!!!!

From what i witnessed saturday at SPSP, i know there are more P&S guys and gal that got skunk that day, but not willing to be a member.

If you don't bring home a keeper, you're on team skunk. If you're not fullfill your mission of what you're set to catch or going for, you're on team skunk.

I am definitely a member of Team Skunk.
Maybe a Card-carrying Life Member, being skunked so many times...:D

I've fished for 16hrs stright on Severn River Bridge when the Sea Trout were there, however I still don't consider myself part of the warriors but I'm deffently not team skunk.I just fish my @$$ off whenever I get the chance. When I fish I try my hardest not to get the skunk;you can't always win. When I lose I try harder to win the next time.I hate to lose but I'll take some losess.

Been there; done that. The interesting thing I have found is that when we have caught our drum; it was fishing hard for only several hrs(about 4). Not all day. Just the right time and the right place. R&R the rest of the time. In fact, we went and visited another island inbetween fishing times and then came back before the fishing started.:) Not that you can't catch drum at any time(day/night; or whatever the tide is doing); but this has been our experience. And it works well when you are down with your family. Just my .02. pelican man.

Yeah I hear you. Me and FLF fish long and hard because we find that it's more fun that way. We don't do it for the results, although we have lucked out a few times, we do it because that's how we are. It's like playing sports, if you don't give it your all, why try? Me and the other "warriors" find time to go out and fish for hours to days at a time. To me it's fun to just go out, forget about the "real world" for a little while, and just try and do one thing, catch a fish.

I think I can also be called the Lone warrior because I can find no one up here who puts in the time and resources to fish the was I do. I'm constantly buying books surfing reports and (when my car is working) traveling to different spots and I will fish in the morning 2 hours before I go to work go out lunch time fish and then go fishing after work into the night a few days a week depending on what's biting the time of year and what I going for (most likely Stripers) this year hope to be able to finally fish with my fellow warriors.

Coco, When I get back in the states I have to make my rounds and see the family in Upstate NY, Maybe I can make a side trip and join ya for some fishing. I was trying to figure out a way to work fishing into my rounds.
