Are Daiwa Eliminators good surf fishing rods? I just bought one for king fishing (anchor rod) and wanted to know if they will cast 6-8 oz. I got the 11' rated for 2-8 oz. but I wanted to hear some testimony on them.....

I got one a 9' and can cast 6 oz no prob. I think they are pretty darn good surf rods for the buck. JMHO

The Eliminators are perfect for 8an bait;I hope to catch a big Red Drum somday on one.I got them from 8-13'.They also have a conventional rod rated for 2-8ozs,I think I'll get one to go with an Abu 7000.
