Looks like it would be a whole lot of fun getting through the first set of breakers! That thing looks like it's pretty light and sits pretty high. Might be a problem if the wind is blowing decent. Doesn't look like it would cut through the water and be effecient. I think it's engineered more for a pond.

I can see and 8/0 popping that pretty quick. Is there a mounting bracket for twin outboards? It could work on a calm wind-less day. I would hate to have an offshore wind pick up while I was 700 yards out though.

I bought a raft similar to that one a few years ago. The wind and waves and current will drag you all over the place. The only time it worked was in the inlet at the top or bottom of the tide when no boats were present.
Now, I just get Koslow(Fla Board) to yak my baits out. :D

I wonder if anyone has invented a potato gun that can launch fish heads out really far. I think it would be an awesome way to get your hook out there. You could fashion trays like ice cube trays to freeze baits on a hook. Freeze them to the correct diameter of the PVC pipe you're using so they get nice and snug. Use an LP gas tank to supply the fuel for the bang. I think I'll go over to Home Depot tonight...

I sound like a redneck... "Hey Y'all! Watch this!" Redneck's famous last words.

You would be better off paddling the baits in your cooler (more sea-worthy and you probably already own several :D )
