I been searching other places for local report up and down the coast and it seems that fish are being caught but nothing to brag about is that true? Also I noticed that there seem to be more tarpon being caught in NC waters than normal is that a fact? where are the Cobia? and Last question Is this year worst than last year for them?
NC, well hatteras seems to be having one of the best king years in awhile from what I have gathered. Last yr was a boomer year for cobes on HI and also in the Bay (if you had a boat) this yr there was one decent run of cobes where last year they were caught consistently for about two weeks. Even the boats are not doing as well in the Bay this year from what I hear.

Some nice shark (black tip, sandbar and sand tigers), kingfish, croaker and spot being taken from the surf at AI, Ocean City and Assateague Island "back bays", many small flounder, few keepers (one 10 pounds), Ocean city had a state record sheepshead, night time blues, trout and croakers, here closer to home, saw quite a few snapper blue caught (12" - 16") at Matapeake last night (had to get out, and witnessed about 8 - 10 in the short time I was there), boats are catching the limit of stripers, with many running the mid to upper 20" range.
Other than that, haven't really taken much time to wet a line, as first I wasn't feeling real good (summer cold I guess, lasted over two weeks), and with news of late, my heart just AIn't into it presently.
Have Jeep wiil travel.
