The Perseids Meteor Display peaks on August 12th with a zenith hourly rate (meteors/hour) expected to reach 90.
I can't think of a better way to spend the night than on the OBX with a small fire, a thermos of strong coffee and a few rods in sand-spikes.
Hmmm, sounds like a great way for my wife to field test her new 12' OM. :D
