30# or 25# on a 6/0

Does anybody have a general estimate on how much 25# lbs test mono or 30# a Penn senator 6/0 will hold.It holds right at about 500yds of 50#. Thanks

y less than #50 on a 6/0? light tackle little fish, big tackle, big fish. no? :rolleyes:

I wanted a little more line capacity, plus if you were to have say a king on and he had 400 yards of line out and started curveing around the end of the pier the pressure from the 50# being so thick would pull the hooks out of a kings mouth. Right now I have 700 yards of 30# on it.

light tackle= better fight.
you can fight big fish on light tackle you just have to do it right. More of a challenge
