Moose had a great game until that hit and then he had a big let; a win is a win.

Damon was a no show! Moose was on and Godzilla put on a clinic. Is Millar Amish? Pedro will see who's his daddy tonight. I can't hardly wait and I'm not a Yanks fan. Just admire good baseball. :)

Damon who? Ohhh - you mean Nancy Damon, with the long hair, and 4 strikeouts.

Me, I am one of the who cares population. Not much on baseball since the second strike, and it doesn't help interest with the teams the O's have been the past how many yeras. Haven't even watched any of the playoff games so far, and probably won't, but may tune in and out when the World Series starts.

The National League has to feel like a "Red Headed Stepchild" because of the media hype for the Sox/Yanks. Like Murph I like good baseball and see the Yanks taking it in 7 and the World Series in 7. Doesn't matter who the play.

Anybody else snicker last night when the crowd started chanting, "Who's Your Daddy?" HA!

I wonder if MLB's official merchandise department has some kind of quality control for their products. Because who ever came up with that T shirt is either playing a sick joke or simply stating the truth.

The "Red Sux" certainly are living up to their New York given nickname after 2. Need to win a few in Beantown to make it interesting. :)

Pedro was right about his "Daddy"

The game last night was joy to watch. Hey Pedro, who's your daddy?

Pedro had their number for awhile, if Caveman and co. would awaken their slumbering bats the series could've been 1-1. Now with Schilling in doubt for the rest of the way it doesn't look good. I think St. Louis may have an answer for the Yanks..we'll see.

I'm a yankees fan but I believe St. Louise has better bats... Its going to be an interesting world series if Yanks and Cards make it.

Ortiz! Ortiz! :D Jeter had his chance again, it was good to see him get some RBI's. Watch out for Manny in Yankee Stadium. :D

Last nights game was the longest game I have ever seen. Both teams had thier chances. I think the Boston Fans won the Sox two games, but the tenth man wont be there tonight for them.

I think the curse would be to let Boston win in Yankee stadium and let THEM get into the World Series. Yanks have to win now just to keep face with the fans...

Good games - best is yet to come!

A-Rod tried to pull a fast one! These games are wearing me out. Francona will probably start D. Lowe tonight but I wouldn't be suprised to see Wakefield and Martinez if necessary. It was good to see Bellhorn and Damon back to their usual selves. :)

That the matchup went this far. Tonight's game goes to the team that really wants it...

A-Rod was just swinging his arms running.

The Yanks were kickin but, and then the Network Executives at Fox realized how much $$$$ they would lose if the series only went 4 games. They told the Yanks to lose the next three and then they could go ahead and win the series in game 7.

Still being a die-hard Indians fan there's always been 2 teams that I root for, them and anyone playing the Yankees. Besides my fishing bud is die-hard Red Sox so for me it was a great series (if you're not a Yank fan. )

I'm with the Catman Sox in 6 and REVERSE THE CURSE. :D

Damon came up big when he had to, D Lowe was amazing. The Sox have lost a few World Series to the Cardinals in their history. If they win the series they will kill some more ghosts!

The Curse is that the Sox haven't won a Series since 1918, not that they haven't beaten the Yankees. Oh, and also having to live & play in Boston-- that's another curse.

OldBay
10-21-2004, 10:03 AM
I thought the curse was having to live with a terrible haircut (Johnny, Manny, Pedro et. al.).

It was a good series! Its great that both AL and NL went to 7.

How much longer do you think Kevin Brown will be a yankee?? 2 innings in both ALCS starts? Not acceptable.

Old Bay, I too think that's the biggest ? for the off-season in NY, who is Georgie going to blame and FIRE. You know it's going to be at least 1 if not more. Torre may be looking for a job next year also. Not that he did anything wrong, but you know how George gets when he loses, especially to the Sox in 7, in NY.

Oh yeah, not to rub salt in a wound or anything but Hickory HS is 4-1, ask your girl how the Wildcats are doing. :D

OldBay
10-21-2004, 12:45 PM
Ha! I am sure she doesn't know. We dont get the south eastern VA high school football scores up here in DC.

George will weild a big axe this off season. On the block - Brown, Pitching coach, Sierra. anyone else? You dont really think he'll toss Torre do you?

murphman
10-21-2004, 03:52 PM
Torre will still be around. Brown will definitely be gone, I don't know how long Olerud, Sierra or Lofton will be there. Cashman looked pretty bad at the end of the game, I wonder if he had lunch with George today! LOL :)

The curse is that they haven't won a series since they gave NY Babe and NY has won 26 series in that spann. So to break some of that curse they had to beat the Yankees to get to the WS and to rid it completely they will need to win it. Go RED SOX!!! (I am really a Marlins Fan but not much to root for this year) But I always like the underdog. Especially against the Yankees! :D

Kevin Brown=Gone
Ruben Sierra=Gone
Cashman=thin ice
Torre=thin ice
pitching coach=do they have one??LOL

Heard on TV today that George is thinking about moving the team to the Phillapines.

Gonna call them the Manilla Folders.
