Fortunately I grew up in South Florida in the 60's where kids could jump on the bikes and fish with dough balls or bacon and catch fish. That is not often the case these days.
I would hope to encourage each of you to share the fishing experience with any child be it yours or someone elses.
I live within the city limits of Charlotte, NC and have 10 acres of land with a 1 acre stocked pond. I regularly invite folks to fish my pond as long as they bring an young-un with them. My reward is seeing the look on their faces when they bring in a fish.
So take a kid with you, it's important, more so now then before. The newbie fisherman today are our key to making sure the future generation is keyed to keeping stocks up.
