Why not have a piece of aluminum cut for the bottom? would not rot out as fast and should be easy to attach.

My opinion .. ain't done it so I am just flapping my unlearned gums.

I've just arrived here and I'm loving every minute of it.
You dont know how much exciting is to discover all these new places, techniques, fishing gear, fish species, etc. specially if they are brought to you by these wonderful guys in the pierandsurf community. it seems magical to me....really.
The only thing that leaves sad is the fact that I will probably never be able to shoot some sinkers and floaters with you guys.... I'de probably leave you guys addict in float fishing. hehehehe.

Good Morning All, Here's to Wishing you each and every P&S Board member a Safe, Great and Happy New Years Ahead! May everyones Fishing Wishes Come True During 2005! I'm too hoping to fulfill a few personal fishing desires this upcoming season and I'm hoping that our paths cross somewhere while doing it. This forum is a Great Place for first introductions as well the sharing of knowledge, skills , and personalities. The common links we share in all of this.....revolve around the obvious wanting desire to be the Best Prepared and Informed anglers we can be.........Thanks SandFlea....Your a Community builder.......I'm Thankful having the opportunity to be a part of it!
In regards to the question of which two new persons here that I'd like sharing a moment of angling time with....I'd like to say that I believe a atmosphere of sharing among anglers like this P&S board first most creates a situation that would more than likely extend into our being able to establish similar friendships if we were able to fish side by side. I'm sure we could all get along as Sportsmen and Women enjoying the angling arts. NSerch4Drum..I'm Honored You'd consider Me someone worthy of being part of the whole group here equally as worthy! Dang NS4D, just two? Be really impossible to decide, you got Jake Ace, never really been a very succesfull flattie fisherman (but then, guess never really did target them, and hence learn those ropes) but am pretty sure he could teach me a thing or two. Then the drum teachers, with my limited success (oops, I mean luck) I could learn a few things from DD and Dr. Bubba. Then, there is the "Wizard of" Koz, could help me hone my sharking skills from shore.

All that said, if I could only choose two (and hopefully that means I could still fish with anyone I have already fished with) they would have to be the Rhondel and Cocoflea. Now, it would save me alot of time and travel if I could get Cocoflea to head south a bit and the "R" to head north, but since I have never fished the surf in NY (did some freshwater stuff up that way long ago), I think a road trip would be in order, the Jeep needs some more stickers.

yeah, picking two is too hard.

with all the good times Cdog has said he's had with DD, I definitely want to fish with Kenny, AND try a rusty nail. And Al, we've only wet a line together once(actually twice - besides that blustery day at chicks, we fished next to each other at the jetty one time not knowing it.)

Used to fish with Digger, Salty, and Sandflea more frequently, but schedules haven't jived. Hope to see more of them this year. And I'd definitely like to make the Kitty Hawk gig this year.

So, sorry, can't pick just two. I just hope to meet some I haven't, and fish more with some I have.

I have met a bunch of folks at the Kitty Hawk deals, but we didn't fish together much, everyone went off in different directions. Fished with Cdog and NS4D a few times, top shelf all the way. Hat is a hoot and a half, DD is one of the best in my book, Da Flea's rep specks for itself and R has that magnetic personality thing going. So many others that I would be honored to side in the sand with. Tooooo hard to pick.

Soooo, here's to KH No.3, maybe we can just pick a spot and fish.

PS It is very hard to get Al to calm down, but you can't go wrong with him beside you in the sand anytime, fishing with a floor show.

That question is impossible to answer. Because I may have meet many of these people before and I cannot necessarly put screen names and people together. I would like to fish more with Dr Bubba, Salty, Sandflea, NSFD, The Bucket and several others. DD would be my first choice for a probable new person, and Koz would be my second(I'm getting a itch to fish FLA again). But to be truthfull I would enjoy fishing with any and all of you. I can learn from just about anybody.
