She will clean them too.... Uses the heads for soup.. I got out easy on these as the Mate (Dale) cleaned them this time and I just touched em up a bit. She does not like them filleted for some reason... her fish, her perrogative I suppose.....
Ocean trips.. I am going to answer that with a qualified, "Not sure"...
From Willoughby, it's an hour and a half to the Cape Henry Wrecks, and nearly a four hour haul to the Chesapeake Light and Santori Wreck (that one is a rig stealin mess... but the Tog are everywhere and no one else was even close)
My guess (I will confirm it) is that he will be fishing the wrecks on his weekend runs this winter (schedule is Sat/Sun only for now)..
If you mean further out in the ocean for Tuna or whatever, I think that would be a specially booked charter, and could happen depending on the weather and the price. Would be at least a 12-16 hour day to make it work.
It was choppy in the bay yesterday, and smoothed out after the CBBT and on to the Ocean line... was great for an hour or so, then the swells showed up and we had a few tossing their Silver Bullets... My dramamine wore off and I was starting to feel a bit rough as well, but survived and didn't miss the fishing this time.
Does anyone know what they are doing at the Chesapeake Light? Some are speculating that they are somehow changing structures there that could run the Spadefish off.
That would be a shame...

They are delicious. I have not seen many "keepers" around here. All we caught were small ones less than 8 inches yesterday.
