Help a noob, please! I ran accross this (http://www.eveningsecretfishing.com/) (I am NOT encouraging anyone to buy this!) and am curious if anyone has tried it.
It seems to be something called "blacklight fishing" once I got through a bunch of other info from them. It seems to me to be some sort of scam - but perhaps the basis is verifiable.
So, if you know anything about either the "Evening Secret" or "blacklight fishing" please let's discuss it.

Well, I had the popups turned off - so I've never seen them. And excuse me for asking a question TW, sorry to have offended you.

Yeah, I realize the sales pitch is kind of "hokey" and it seems to me to be a rip-off - but my question is - black light fishing - has anyone here tried it? I know that some of the piers use lights aimed into the water - and I've heard it was to attract the bait fish so they would in turn attract the predator fish. So, if this is the "black light fishing" that he later mentions in one of his emails, I was wondering if THAT makes any sense to anyone.

Well black lights are just a limited spectrum of light so if that is the band that attracts the fish it would make sense.

Thanks Shooter - I HAD thought that I'd made it obvious that I wasn't selling but asking. It wasn't 'till after I responded to TW that I realized that he'd thought that my first post was one of "those" (I don't know what to call them, but they register onto a site and post a dozen or so forum messages about miracle oil for your car that will also make you sexier etc. - and all of them exactly the same post in different areas of that site's forums.)
TW - sorry I jumped salty there, but I'd thought that my supporter status and the fact that I'd said that I thought it was a scam made it clear that it wasn't I that was selling this "secret". I'd thought you were saying that this site wasn't for asking "dumb" questions. I'm afraid that, being the neophyte that I am, I'll be asking a few of them from time to time. Please bare with me. ;)

If you want a cheap place to test The James River Pier has a outlet that you could hang a regular incandecent black light bulb from holding it just above the water. It is on the left about 150 ft past the tanks.

One of my buds was saying something about using his hunting liscense to shoot his shotgun into the water - said that works too. ;)
Oh, and he said something about using an electric charge (from one of the old telephone ringers or such) to "attract the fish" - they float to the surface holding thier fins up in submission?

Maybe that would be the place to try the above? :D
