Penn 109 Reels.....

Does anyone know if the 109's are free spool or not? I know that there was one that the handles spun backwards when it was cast.

I'm looking to buy a couple off e-bay, just to have, and use once in a while, but if they are the handle spinners, I think I'll pass.....

Yes they are from what I can remember. Get the penn peerless #9. Same size but no handle spin.

yep there the knuckle-busters i got one my self i hate it i have never used it but once or twice i dont even know how i got it

put the 109 on the shelf its an antique.
