Don't mean to sound like a cement head, but I'm curious. I have never caught a Red but have heard about them. My question is this....I saw some pics on the Florida board of some beautiful fish. What is the size limit? What can you keep. How do they taste?. I'm used to catching the big black drum here in NJ but I have always been curious about the reds.
i dont know how it is up there bud, but down in va its a slot due to future management(which is a problem in and of itself as other states unless they have been amended do allow for some sort of harvest for larger fish)
18-26inches is a keeper
so basically it is 20-27(Shrinkage)
3 per person per day. nc is 1 per day i believe...
ever heard of blackened redfish? that be drumfish... i've had pups and i think they're rather good, i've heard from other people that they dont like it all that well. thick meat... i've never eaten a biggie (wouldnt want to for the same reason as blacks, worms and such) but i've heard their meat leaves room for improvement.
hope that helps, im sure someone here will clarify on the regs if im incorrect.

No time left to take off of work until Jan 1 and I'm in the middle of legal battle over my accident back in August.
