Every year I organize a touch football team to play in the Over-The-Hill Bowl. The games raise money for the Help and Emergency Response shelter in Portsmouth.
The bowl is held the Saturday before the Super Bowl at Churchland High School. Everyone gets a T-shirt and lunch at the awards banquets when it's over.
Most of the people who've played on the team in the past have been from my TV station. However, I've lost like 10 players to other markets over the last five years. This year I hoping to get a few more players from P&S.

It's a lot of fun for a great charity. So, come on out. Play some football, drink a few beers and help pull Andy Fox's pants down. :D It's become an annual tradition.

Thanks for the reply, Mark. I'd love to see you out on a football field. Second string or not, you gotta be better than the Foxer. Even with a bad back.
Can you see Cdog, Dixie, Shooter, Crawfish, BrokenRod, Sandflea, Chapa, Reelrebel and a couple of other P&S guys on the same team? I think they'd be afraid to play us. :D
Every year I'm out there I think about bringing on of my hearvers and see just how far I cast. Hell, it's the only time a year I'm on a ball field. I'm gonna do it this year. And if no one else is with me, I'm gonna keep my distance a secret. :p
The games and the banquet really are a lot of fun. You guys mark it on your schedules, OK.

Shooter, the cheerleaders are from JB's Gallery of Girls. They hand out hot coffee and/or cold beer to all those who get hurt. :p
Man, I think the October P&S Angler of The Month would be a good one to have on the team, too.

Just a reminder. The Over the Hill Bowl is Feb. 4. So far, no one from P&S has agreed to play. :(
I've got a pretty small team this year. I could really, really use a few more players.
Since the games raise money for a battered women's shelter, the rules call for a woman to be in an offensive play (either a run or pass) every four downs. And I've only got one female on my team so far this year. So, gals, help a brotha out.

Jeff my man, again I'm working. But I wouldn't be much help with my bad knee and all. I could help the girls brew some coffee.
Hell I can't even find time to cast my new Heavers.
My job is killing me.
