Anyone have an experience with this reel? I have heard rumors that the Ticas don't always hold up during saltwater user.

Tica and Okuma are the same company. I refuse to use either one when it comes to reels. I've seen one in Carolina on Frisco pier get smoked on a nice sized shark. 2hrs later I saw a Tekota deck the same sized shark is not bigger. I have also heard a story of a cownose blowing the sideplate off of an okuma classic on Harrisons.
