reel help?

about to purchse a new spinning reel for my 12' tsunami rod.what do you think my best bet would be.going to be throwing 4-8oz.....thanks:)

I got Okuma CD-90 and Tica Dolphin SE10000 that I would recommend, both < $100.

i like daiwa emblem series, good quality reel... I also have Okuma, Penn and Quantum, I like daiwa the best. Probaly going to replace all my reels with daiwas in time...

I have the okuma Coronado cd 65 and love it. the 90 holds more line and it is about he same weight. For strickly surf rod I would get the cd90

i would go for the diawa emblem very smooth reel alot of people like the okumas but not me ive had 2 of them crap out on me so im stickn with the diawas they are nearly bulletproof

thanks for the replys...want to spend under $100,looks like a diawa is the way to go...picked up a diawa regal 4500 for cheap during Chritmas,will this reel work on a 12' rod? if not which diawa would you combo with?Thanks:)

What is the line capasity on that reel,with say 17lb test?? I own several diawa spinners,but none are over 3500 series,and they hold about 250 or 300 of 8lb diameter,20lb test fireline.. If it has the capasity I'm thinking and you are using that 12fter for big game,it sounds more than able to do the job,imo...

the diawa emblem or emcast reels (ones 130$...ones 80$)....long cast spool design...excellent for big rods and distance
