spinning reel drag maitenance

i picked up a fin-nor reel today for cheap. after playing around with it, i noticed the drag is sort of sticky. i'm thinking i need to open it up and clean it out, just curious if there is a special type of grease i need to use on the drag washers or should i just use some hot sauce?

I don't know the answer to your question - but just curious - which Fin-nor reel did you get?

i got a 2000 size InShore for 15 bucks. pretty sure they used to retail for over 100. i got a finnor questlite rod for 20 bucks to go with it. hadnt heard of that particular rod but it seems nice for the price. brand new in the plastic.

there is a guy here in wilmington who has been selling them on the side of the road on market street. he has boxes full of old finnors in like new condition. somehow he got them to get rid of when zebco bought them out. he also had some cape fear rods for a good deal.
