I don't think you can go wrong with either, but the 1569 is much lighter in my opinion!

I heard good things about it but haven't had my hands on one. Everyone seems to love the 1569's.

Teo,
Get whatever you want. In the end you're either going to like it or hate it. If it gets me to where the fish are then I'm happy with it. We seem to buy and sell equipment on here like used cars. I really like both my RS customs, and can't see myself getting another till one craps out. I try not to make it rocket science. But just incase you don't like the rod you buy I'll take it off your hands.:D
The 1569 is the lighter of the two, but the 1509 can throw a brick.
Or you can hold out. I'm more than sure theres a new and improved blank out there that everyone will be drooling over soon.

I think I'm holding out.... as for the 1569 being light, I have 2 lami's that do that job. I was thinking more of throwing in the teen's ... my 1502 seems to max out at 10... I haven't thrown anything over that anyway....

Teo, if you sold the OM cuz it was too stiff you will not like the 1509. I threw my RS 1509 mainly this past weekend and when I switched to the OM it felt spongy.

I should be picking up my 1569 this week. Maybe we can do a little comparison. :D
How are you getting your Fusion built?
I had my 1569 wrapped in silver and black with 6" taken off the butt. Fuji plate seat and alconite guides. Conventional. I can't wait to get it. It's been ready for a month now.
I'm interested in how Tommy's new blank loads compares to the Inferno ... and the RS.

Dog, you're right about the OM feeling spongy when compared to some blanks.
After throwing either that AS1509 you sold me or the Inferno, the OM feels more like a Tica.

Hey Teo, just got a new custom 1569 and let me tell you, it is a real beauty. It feels right at home casting heavier weights. I could meet you at Bull Run sometime to let you test it out although the reel seat placement might be a little long for you(34''). :D

Have both Rainshadows from FishSticks4u :D 69 is touch lighter maybe, an expect it can throw more lead as it needs like 10oz+ to get it to load up ... still like my 1509 better as it throws 8oz & bait more to my liking given the action of the rod with a 60/40 split vs the 50-50 split of the 1569 ~ IMHO ... regardless if ya have FS4U build your customs you can afford both rods ;)
Go custom tackle ho fishin'
`bucket
& since I can't seem to win a raffle of any sort, I'll be havin' Robert & Ray @ FS4U put together a few more customs for me ... wish list includes conventional 1387, 1418, 1502 & 1508 and if I didn't already have a stump heaver a 1209 too  Just gonna take a while now since the tax check is long since spent
I have the 1509 and love it, not too heavy, fights fish well and will throw anything you need. I have thrown the 1569 and its MUCH lighter, but will still perform with the heavier weights, it is now next on my list from FS4U. The Fusion will be in the quiver before fall I hope, much lighter than the Inferno, but still will launch 8-bait.
The BA1509 is too much rod for me, sold mine two years ago and never looked back. The Lami's are ok, just dont like the slow action they have.
Another option would be the Outcast ...schweeeeet. Thats one that'll never get sold.

I sold the OM cuz it's too heavy and I was no where of a caster as I'm now.
I might have to check out the 1569. If I don't like it, I know where to sell it. ;) :D
Thanks for all the inputs guys...
C'mon tax return.... :D

Been checkn on them new rods myself and here is what I found.
The 1569 ought to throw 6-8 and suppose to throw 10 but should be much better with the lighter loads but still a Drummie rod *Lightest*
The Fusion will throw 8 & 10 and bait with no problem. *Second lightest*
If your wanting a rod for throwing 8-10-12 & up and will be spiking it most of the time the Inferno is my go-to rod, some of the sissy boys say it's to hard to load but us men have no problem and love it and besides it will out cast the other two, but maybe thats just me. *Third lightest*
