Ok got me an abu for the helluvit. First conventional, got the lefty cause I'm stubborn. Put on some mono then 6/20 PP. Casts really good, just been using it mostly for throwing spinner baits for bass.
One of the big reasons I got it was to learn a little about modifying reels, and as I understand it abu's have a lot of options, and are fairly easy to work on.
It's not exactly the high dollar version or anything, but what types of things can I do to improve the reel? I've got it on a 6' 7/8oz rod right now, but it seems to have the line capacity to toss a good ways if I wanted to, but then level wind slows it down right?
Gimme some ideas, if you got any...I really just want to take the tools to it :D
