Everyone I had to post this.........
My daughter Kelsie has oral surgery today. She had wisdom tooth pulled on the upper right side of her mouth and a molarr pulled on the lower left side of her mouth. She like her dad is deathly afraid of needles. Thi was the fourth time that this was attempted to be done. Last night she was given a valium per doctors orders and another today an hour before surgery. Well we get to the doctors office and she is a little loopy from the valium. Well now comes needle time as they had to put her asleep. So here we go. While the nurses and I were talking to her the doctor gives here the little butterfly needle for the IV port. Of course she says ooowww!!!!, and then the doctor gives her the cocktail to put her out. Her eyes got real big and kinda rolled back in her head and I told her that I and my better half would see her when she woke up. About 45 mins later she was startin to come around. Needless to say she was NOT a happy camper. She came through it like a real trooper. We did have a little scare when she looked at me and said that she couldn't see. I asked the nurse if this was normal and she said it was due to the medicine. The good thing is that she did not remember anything about the surgery which was a good thing. She really made me proud becaus I know that I would have a problem with what she went through. Kids really are amazing.
