i need help!

School is finally out, i finally got my liscenes, and me and my buddies are looking for local hot spots in norfolk i got a little john boat too. if any one nows so good spots please let me know

First off welcome aboard to a great fishing forum.

As far as hot spots are concernrd you may want to stick with the Ocean View Fishing Pier (OVP) it is the most popular place to fish with a good verity of fish to catch.

If you are looking for beach fishing you may want to check out the jetty at Wiloughby or just find some good beach to fish.

hey thanks alot me and my dad usually put our boat in at willouhgby and go out to fort wool and kill the croaker and i havent tried the OVP since they rebuilt but i will deifnatly keep that in mind

If you click on the right on coastal explorer there are many other choices besides ovp also. If you are going to stick with piers james river bridge pier and seagull ( bay bridge tunnel ) are not far from you also. There is too lynhaven and va beach pier ( i didnt personally care for those two too much after lately checking them out ....2 rod limit per person.....va beach its 2 bucks extra per rod after the 2nd rod ).

i apreciate all the help but on gas prices right now i mite stick to the close places i tried seagull pier before cought some stripper and sheepshead but one nite i went to OVP not nowing that they were closing at 11pm at the time and over heard a few guys talking about the 4-5pound croaker they caught that nite...so ever since then ive been dying to get ou there just never really had the time...but i got along summer ahead of me so i will definatlly keep the other places in mind...plus my dad is gettin the whench eye on the front of the hull refiberglashed in so in no time were gonna take that out but when i dont have that im going to use the piers.....thanks again!
