are u looking to get what they call a six pack license for running a charter business. If so i know tcc actually has a 62 hour course to study for your license. My dad got his years ago and chose not to take classes and he studied a book i believe was called Rules of the Road, among others. All i know from watching him is that its no easy task but i know he sure has been proud of himself since. I know some prerequisites are at least one year of time logged on the water and you must be at least 19. Its pretty involved i guess. I know that once my dad got the license his entire outlook on boating changed, he immediatly halted drinking on the water, he was already a pilot so he was already meticulous as far as maintainance and safety went but now hes just that much better (or worse if you wanna actually get some fishing done). Well sorry i gave you a biography, i got carried away but i really hope this sheds some light on your goal:D
