Went out a trolled a couple small blues up in the afternoon before the storms chased us around then jigged about 5 rockfish off of the PNP lighthouse.

Next AM it was blowing from the north and picked up all day...we ran around PLO to the Potomac. Nothing drifting baits, saw the birds and the action was on. Cuaght about 20 rocks/blues on lures and called it a day. Biggest fish of the weekend was maybe 5 pounds.

Nice !!!!! Thats a great day. We got out but it was 4 hours later than planned. Darn port side bank was DEAD so we had to run 45 min north to the nearest (open) store to get new marine batteries. It was blowing more than the predicted so we stayed in the mouth of the Manokin.

When you switched to the potomac were you trolling or jigging?

When we got to the Potomac we drifted over the bar a few times with squid and cut with no luck then trolled a bit more and cuaght blues on little tony acetas then we saw the fish breaking so we casted kastmasters and bucktails to undersized rockfish and decent size blues. The baitfish were hiding under the boat at one point and you could just drop a lure. Hotspot was less than a mile north of Corn Field Harbor on the MD side...I think the fish erupt there everyday...goes from 45 feet to 10 feet real quick.
