Big Blue Water that is......
Pulled out of Broad Creek marina (Wanchese) @ 5:15 on Sat aboard Wave Runner. The capt warned us that the first 2 boats out had already come back in & called it a day before ever getting so the inlet & that it was going to be "snotty, not unfishable, but snotty". Well the ride out sucked seas were 4-7 feet & really short period so it beat the h*ll out of us on the way out there. We motored for over 2 hrs & then put out the spread. I see a fish smack @ the right short, the mate jumps up & feeds some line out to the fish, on the 3rd try, he finally gets the bait in his mouth & it's FISH ON!!!!! 15 min & 5-10 jumps later, this is beside the boat & still a little too green to handle.

Right after that shot, he almost jumped into the boat w/ us. After another 5 min or so, the mate gets ahold of him & we get a better look.

That was it for the big excitement for the day. We spent the rest of the day working some very broken up weed lines for dolphin. We ended up w/ 30 bailers, a blue runner & another mystery fish (jack family I think).
