Hermit crabs for bait?

Would hermit crabs work for bait? Like maybe on sheephead?

Over here in the UK Hermits are a great bait for smoothhound (crunchy rather that toothy sharks)

Did not know you had them over there????

Great bait for sheepies. Should work for
just about all inshore species and
bottom fish. What fish does not like
crabs?;)

There are great baits if you are tog fishing.
