Other than bait shops, where do you get, dig, or find them ? I live in south west Florida and I'm not sure if we have them here but would try if I knew here to look.
Thanks for you help

I believe they dig for them up in Maine and other parts of New England.....but BWFB usually work almost if not as well, and are a whole lot cheaper in the long run.

Based on my knowlege they are picked by hand from the salt water marshes of the upper North East (Mass. up to Nova Scotia). There are areas there that have a 18' tidal change.
There is a 3-4 week span in July/August where the prices of BW go up because the workers switch to picking wild blueberries. Then they go back to picking the worms.
You have to buy them. You can setup an elaborate system in your home to hold them but that is about it. I am sure in FLA there are plenty of freshly available bait that you would not have to rely on BW.
Besides the artifical Blood Worm Fish Bites work great and they keep for a long time.

I just hope those workers wash their hands before picking the blueberries:D

Well upi know the saying that the best foods for you to eat are those that contain the blue, orange and red pigments. However for me red + blue = :--|
