Brunell sets completion record with 22 straight to start the game. Portis scores twice and has 186 total yards and betts has 112 rushing. I realize it was against lowly Houston but a win is a win. Next up Jax. First one to 13 wins LOL.

If we can get springs back I think we will be fine.

Poor Tampa Bay lose thier QB for season and are 0-3 looks like the number one draft pick will be between tampa bay and houston. Carr better start winning some games because houston will probably take quinn with number 1 pick and then carr is done LOL. He sucks anyways.

Oh well at least we have as many wins as Dallas and Giants. Even though we lost to Dallas we made TO pay.....taylor always makes him pay. Next time TO will be playing scared. :D:D:D Further we are only 1 game behind Philly

Got to disagree. He does not suck. Is he the
best long thrower in the game? Heck no, far
from it. How many penalties did the O-line
get called for yesterday? He just came right
back on each next play and made up for it.

I don't know about next week or the week
after, but he played his @@@ off yesterday.

The Texans are going to beat 2 - 4 teams
this year. Just glad that we will not be
one of them.;)

Hey M, before downgrading what Brunell did, I would also ask, who did the previous record holder (Gannon) complete 21 against? Either way, its tough to do. :D

for petes sake it was houston he did it against. against cb's and ss's that we cant even name and a defense that is weak. do that same type of playing against jacksonville, indy, dallas etc and i will take it all back. no offense but im not worried who gannon did it to. im concerned about us here and now. ive been against brunell from the beginning. we should have kept hassleback and picked up a backup that can play. oh well you guys enjoy him i suffered enough with shuler, rypen, and ramsey and now brunell. im just glad moss is short so he doesnt have to go far to catch those sliders brunell tosses in the ground so much. question ? why go out and get top notch wr's if you cant throw to them over 20 yrds.:( ?

It's all about supporting your starting QB.
If Campbell was in there I would give him
the same support. I believe that Campbell
is our future, but I also believe that we
can win with Mark Brunnell. If Portis had
been able to play in the first two games
we would have probably won.
We would have definitely won the Vikings
game. ;)

I agree. A true fan supports his team no matter who is on the field. Yes the 22 in a row was against Houston. But hey there were worse teams in the history of the NFL and better offenses and better QBs played against those worse teams but they did not set the record. 22 in a row is hard to do. No matter how good/bad a team is. That is why it is a record. I think this team will be fine with brunell this year. With Portis back and Springs due back soon we should start to jell. Saunders offense is a hard one to learn. I think we have seen bits and flashes of what it will be like. Most of the viking game and this one against houston showed some flashes. It will get better each week.

Now on defense it really hurts when your corner that you count on to go one on one with the teams best WR is out well it limits the amount of blitz packages that you can use. When springs gets back 100% you will see what the defense did last year. Jacksonville has a great defense but thier offense is average at best. I think we will have a good chance of winning that one. Then the Giants hell thier defense has given up so many points and now thier own players are grumbling and calling thier coach out in public. Hell I am glad we are playing them sonner than later. Then we get a buy I mean Tenn. Then Indy heck we could go 3-4 or 1-4 next four weeks. Either way I will be pulling for brunell and the REDSKINS

will also tell it like it is w/o the sugar coating. like it or not brunell is a sad example of a qb. im true enough to know that he cant do that 22 pass bit against a true defense. im also true enough to admit its time for a change for the better/ younger more mobile and stronger qb. i mean a qb is supposed to throw the ball not just rely on his rb to run. also if you cant run pass the line or to the line of scrimmage without looking like you are gonna break something you need to step aside and teach from the sidelines and in practice. i dont know about you but i prefer to look towards the team and its future and quite frankly i dont see brunell in that picture. ive been a fan all my life and we did the same mess with shuler, rypen, and ramsey let them play while it hurt us. losing is part of the game but not making the right presonnel decisions has cost us quite a few gms over the years. its time to make changes. period. just ask coach ditka:D ya heard what he said as well sunday. he spoke the truth.
