Going to school for 6 weeks down in
Montgomery AL. Leaving in a few days
and will not return till about first week
in Dec. I will still be posting though...;)
Plan on taking 95 from MD down past
Richmond and then hopping on 85 all
the way to Montgomery. May take 2
days or do it all in one. Depends on traffic
and how I feel. Looks like I will be
about 3 hrs away from Gulf Coast fishing
from eithor the Carolinas or the LA, FL
region. Plan on hitting a few party boats
on the weekends.:D

Most definitely.;) Not sure how I will be
able to watch the skins games though...
Hopefully they will have a sportsbar
nearbye that carries all the games.
Otherwise I will have to listen over the
internet.:(

Man, you know the AF doesn't skimp on creature comforts! There will definitely be a six pack in the fridge at your "dorm" and cable tv available.

I'd say drive down on I-81 and make your way to Maxwell that way. Might get a glimpse of the trees changing color this time of year and definitely won't on the way back in 6 months.

Hmmm 27.50 sounds like a really good price.
But then again, any boat that would
let you on must have low standards.

Left at 6am on Monday and drove 9 hrs
and stopped at Georgia for the night.
Slept in till 9am and then drove to Montgomery
getting here around 1pm. Typing from the
base library as we speak. School does
not start until Thursday so I have another
day to loaf around tommorow. Then
on Thursday we do our official check-in
and get weighed to ensure we are under
our max allowable weight. On Friday we
will probably do our fitness testing.
I will keep a running log on this thread.
P.S. This course is a 6 week course
for Senior NCO's. We get graded on
writing and on public speaking...
(I hate public speaking...) There are about
400 students in my class I think.

Me, sometimes fresh water with ultra light gear is so much a blast, but now, me a sand and surf guy (but still hit the gravel pits around here on occassion for the bass fishin').
Take care, study hard, before your public speaking engagement (as my speech teacher once told me in college) a couple a vodka tonics with lime won't hurt (probably against military protocol though  ) and be safe and have some fun.
Have Jeep will travel :D
