"Lobstermen"..Discovery Channel

I'm watching the lobster fishing show on Discovery. I have heard several references to yellowfin and "redfish" as bait for lobster traps.

FIVE POUNDS of bait per trap, and a hundred or two per boat, per trawl...

Someone who knows PLEASE tell me that these people are using something besides Red Drum for lobster bait...:eek: :eek: :eek:

Surely it can't be what I know as "redfish"....Or can it???:mad:

i was watching the same thing. and i was also wondering if they ment red drum. also did you see the guys who were useing scate rather than redfish, because it was cheeper? useing redfish for bait over the corse of the week cost 3500.00 and the skate cost 1300.00 for a weeks worth:eek: i just had a good idea.....lip rippers skate bait:rolleyes:
