I have an Okuma Inaspira with a 7' MH Stafford Rod. Is there any other combo that would come close to or better than this combo for inshore fishing? Thanks Florida Angler

any other reel but an okuma ;) lol incase you didnt know i hate okuma because me and my friend have broken like 13 of them all within 3 months of buying :(

im not sure how big that reel is but you can check out the shimano baitrunner reels they are nice and strong and will last you a long time even without taking care of them

and star rods and crowder make very nice rods that are relatively cheap

My go-to combo for all around inshore fishing is a 7 foot MH St Croix Tidemaster and Shimano Stradic 4000 . I can use the rod for casting the jetties , drift-fishing for flounder , even fishing inshore wrecks for seabass and tog . It comes with an extra spool and I always carry one with me .
