What's the difference between "NO" and "NEVER"?
I usually open supermarket doors by walking in first before my wife, but let her handle mall doors that seem exceptionally heavy . . . don't wanna throw out my casting elbow :) :D
NOW THATS FUNNY GONNA HAVE TO TRY THAT ONE ON THE WIFE! I HOLD IT FOR HER ALOT BUT NOT ALWAYS. SOMETIMES SHE FORGETS TO LEAVE THE SEAT UP AND I GET REVENGEFUL. :D

Wives and girlfriends are not my type so I didn't vote!:D :D Don't think I would want to date a guy that expected or let me open doors for him!

I do open doors for my girl, and I did for my wife. Just the way I was raised I suppose. Still say sir and ma'm to my elders for respect. Still hold the umbrella for her too, even if it means me getting soaked in the process.
Just do. And would expect my son to do the same (god willing some day)......

Needed a "don't drop the door" option. I hold it open if anyone else is behind me. Doesn't matter who it is.

Same here...just common courtesy. As also stated above, I also ALWAYS say "please and thank you", and call people "maam and sir". My West Virginia upbringing and 26 years in the Army conditioned me to that.

I Use This Test I Unlock The Pass. Door And Open It For Her. By The Time I Get To The Drivers Side She Better Have The Door Unlock For Me. Hell All She Has To Do Is Push A Button. If Not She Does Not Respect Me. Its A Give And Take World

I am with the others that were raised to show common courtesy toward others.
90% of the time I open the door for my wife or daughters and others that are trailing behind us. Do unto others as I wish others to do for me...Pay it forward...Whatever you call it makes the world a better place.

with Big Worm and Sand Flea.... My Daddy would scold me if I did anything less....
Open the car door EVERYTIME, hold the umbrella, hold doors for others (even if they are slow and causes the wifey to wait a few extra seconds) the sir and ma'am are mandatory for whomever.... And will be for my offspring (if I ever hatch any)

I do the same thing rattler. Its just polite and yes i do expect the same in return. I don't so thank you but i do say your welcome. Its fun to say "your welcome!" to the women who don't even say thank you. Most men always say thanks...i guess they understand this role.
