US only....what do you really want to do and go fishing wise?
White Marlin out of OI, Bluefins out of Morehead or Southport, YFT out of Venice and on a long range trip out of San Diego for me, plus a trip on the Yankee Captains to the Tortugas from Key West cause those guys always come back with a ton of fish, including sometimes a 50+ grouper and plenty of 15+ mutton snapper

21 day long range on one of the San Diego long range fleet boats. They fish Mexican waters, but leave from a US port...does that count?

Back in time on an old tuna commercial fishing boat with cane poles and bucktail like lures, just like on cartoons. If youve never seen the videos of that, one word, unbelievable.

My first choice would be to take a charter out of costa rica for some blue water action. Would love to hook up with a rooster tail or a sailfish.
My cousin and I have been planning another dreamtrip to the pacific northwest for some halibut action. :D Hopefully we will get to go next year.

I would go to the bridge in SW Florida that I go to every year. That's the best fishing trip for me, as long as I'm with a buddy and my dad. Bring my 9/0 and kick some jewfish a$$
Other than that, I want to go bridge trippin in the keys for a while lookin for the tarpon in the summer with a tree-thick bridge rod and a 4/0

Does the boat have to have a motor?
My dream trip has been done once but with few fish.
Paddling in a canoe from Wachapregue(sp) to Cedar island and the Dolphin shoal. The shoal looked untouched by human hands or feet. Amazing amount of different birds to be seen.
Next time, there will be no sleeping at night, just fishing. And the drum will be there;)

For some reason I've always had a great huge soft spot for small mouth bass fishing (fly fishing) in the Brandywine River around Chadds Ford, PA. From a canoe or with waders on, makes no difference to me. I love that river:rolleyes:
I would like to get lost in a canoe on some of those lakes in Northern Minn.
Lake Whitney and canyone lake (TX) Stripers and black bass are hard to beat.
I guess if I had to choose I would take either surf fishing in Hawaii (any Island, don't matter) or Halibut fishing in Alaska.
What a tough choice....

the only restriction is that it has to be in the US, or in the case of the long range boats out of San Diego, originate in the US. The point is to come up with great fishing trips you don't have to get a passport for.
