Thought I would share a pretty cool little item I picked up the other day. Keeps your needlenose by your side and lubricated. Now I can make those 2 dollar plyers last a little longer. :D

I've used the same old steel pliers for over 15 years by keeping them in a HoldZit holster. Same with my hook file, it's at least 10 years old, and Oregon is a rusty place to live.

Let's see...1 post, and "holdzit" just happens to live in Oregon where the company is located. Not saying it isn't a good product, just that if you are going to represent yourself on here with a post like that, be up-front about it and admit you are affiliated with the company. At least you didn't come up with an entirely original screen name:D

I own the company. I'm trying not to spam the thread or say anything that get someone upset. I see visitors coming from message board threads from my web site stats and like to respond in a positive manner. If I was standing around talking to a group and a person had mentioned the product and I'd said the same thing as above...well any way thanks for visiting and have a great holiday season. :)

Well, since you're here, I've got a few questions. How does the holders keep things from getting rusty? Is there oil or something impregnated in it and do I have to maintain it somehow? Does it leave any residue on the tool? Most importantly, any discounts for P&S folks? :D

AtlantaKing...Discounts? Sure, how about me paying the shipping on any of the products along with a 10% discount. Friendly enough? I would appreciate you shopping at the retail stores that sell my products before buying from me. I have a list of the stores at the site.
As far as how do the HoldZit holsters work. Think of a regular holster to hold a pair of pliers, size wise at least. Our outside material is made from a stretchable industrial plastic. Inside of the waterproof/oilproof plastic sheath are two closed cell foam pads that you slip your pliers in between. The closed cells have been split to make the material open and have a scrubbing effect. Now take the WD-40 that's supplied with the product and squeeze it into the sheath. Anglers have added all types of lubricates from gear oil to any all of the spray lubricants. Yes, you need to mantain the sheath and add more lube as time goes on. I tell folks to give it a spray of lube every couple of month's. All lubricatants evaporate. You can't over lubricate the sheath. Now slip the pliers into and between the pads inside the holster. Put the holster on the ground and step on it or squeeze the inside pads to fit the size of the pliers. The pads will size themself to fit any tool that's inserted into it. So think of it as a lubricated holster that cleans and lubricates your pliers every time you take it out and put it back in and the pliers are stored in a lubricated enviroment. The lubricant is only on the working end of the pliers or tools.
I've talked enough I'm sure.

Holdzit not many shops in VA carry your product (none listed on your site are in VA) so i have not been able to see the product in person. We will have to mail order. I have heard great reviews on your product. I'm planning on getting the pouch for the hook sharpener. Now if you had a Mini-Mag, pliers and hook sharpener pouch I would love that. If you want a outlet in VA contact Randy at the Baitshack (Virginia or North Carolina board sponsor) and he might be interested in carrying your product(I have not asked him) since you have nobody in VA. Good Luck!

Pat,
You have lots of outlets in south Florida, but none in north Florida. I would purchase your products if you had a local dealer. I guess I can wait til Spring during my annual Tarpon trip to the Keys.
You are missing a good market for your products if you are not in Jacksonville!

Digger...Thanks for the contact. You'll like the hook file holster. Keep the holster lubricated and your hook file will last untill you wear it out! You'll be using the same file for years.
bmcox86...No, the tools handles do not get any lubricant on them, just on the working part of the tool.
Sea Level...I'll be marketing my products up your way in the future. I'm a small company with a small marketing buget so it takes a while to get the product shown around. Once a retailer see's how a Tool Saver holster works they usally pick them up for resale. I'll work on the Jacksonville area real soon.
Thanks for the questions and comments.
Sharpen them hooks,
Pat
