Merry Christmas to me...
Went into a well known tackle store in Jacksonville, Fl. today and picked up a NIB 525Mag for $109.00, added enough hooks, swivels, jig heads, and junk to make $150.00, and turned in a $30.00 off coupon....Effectively bringing down the price of the 525 to $100.00. NICE DEAL!
Also picked up a new 12 footer from Daiwa...A new addition to their Emblem line.
EM-ES1202XHFB...They've got this thing rated at 5-8 ounces, but there's NO WAY. Four is more like it, and that's just what I was looking for. Initial testing in the field across the road indicates a winner. Throws nice, with the new 525Mag full of 17# Seige.
Weight wise, it's a good bit lighter than a 3-6 OM 12. Pretty close in weight actually, to my OM 10 lights. In fact, they share the same size 22 Fuji reel seat.
Looks to me like Daiwa continues to give a good product at a good price.

Good deal RR'r. I'm still hoping for a couple more BP gift cards before I make my run to Savannah.
Nothing fishing related yet, but I did pick up a new .357 this past weekend. :D

Is that HO HO HO as in Santa or as Ho in tackle ho ........ JK
Your OM Lite is that the 10' 1-4oz one ...... I was thinking of one for either my BY or Pro Rocket ...... I've got the Daiwa Sealine in the 3-6oz for one of them and still need another rod for the other ....... the Blue Yonder will be a medium duty bait rig and I want ...... scratch that ...... need ..... one to throw metal with the PR ....... hard to find a 10' M action in casting 1-4 oz's ........ How does the OM Lite do with 2-3 oz ....

I was careful with my spelling...:D "Ho'"
The OM 10 1-4 oz. LOVES 2 oz. Likes 3 oz. OK, and will toss 4oz.
Happy Ho' Ho'..:D

I know you have a couple of these ...... I know you have a 4-7 oz sealine do you have a 3-6 oz one too and if so how does it throw compared to the OM Lite ..... the one for the BY will need to throw 4-5 oz's

The Daiwa 10' 3-6 is lighter than the OM 10, by a long shot...4oz is about all it wants. The 11' 4-7 Sealine LOVES 4oz, and likes 5 OK with a 6oz. max, I'd guess.
