Abu Size

Is 4000 series Abu too small for 7 footer? Just wondering since some people seem to put the 5000 series on their 7' rods.

Also, anyone put their 5000 series on thier surf rods?

I got a 6600 Mag C5 that I was going to put on my 7' but it seems little too big. I might have to get another Abu in 4000 or 5000 series for the 7' and get me a heaver for the 6600. :) Merry Christmas to me!!

What are ya fishn for, what size line are ya gonna use and how much line do ya need?

I use a 4600C4 on a Shimano Claris Mod.CSC-76MH fo pitching light jigs tiped with shrimp or minnows for Reds and Trout. To answer your question Salt your set up will work great. JMHO
