Hi vis for night fishin and any other color I can get for the other. Like hengs said suffix is the s**t. I used power pro excluisvley and tried an then switched to the suffix braid. Great stuff.

.For those who haven't tried suffix its a much better braid and I doubt you will go back to PP.

What do you like about it? I've only used PowerPro but will give Suffix a try if I like what I hear so far as differences.

Thanks,
fishhead

Suffix is alot more smother in casting and has more wraps around the main line than pp which makes it stronger. I belive that pp has four and suffix has six. I will admit that at least up here in yankee land it's more expensive than pp. Here pp costs between 13-15 bucks for 150 yrds. Suffix goes for 17-19 bucks but it's worth the price. It also doesn't tend to dry out as fast as pp does. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info guys. I’ve recently respooled with PP so I’ll consider the switch after that line is worn, or if it should fail me

PowerPro has been good to me for several years now, but we’ll see how things work out now that I’ve switched from 50lb down to 30lb!

I've always bought moss green PP.I like it for
my spinning reels but when I tried it on my
6500c4 it cut itself when I got an over-run
so I went back to mono.Anybody had similar
results with bait-casters?I will try Sufix next
time.

Another enthusiastic vote for Sufix over PowerPro. Sufix is much better behaved and just stands up better.

Six new reels - $145.00 for Sufix Performance Braid.

But where else would you go for a recommendation ?

Just for drill if I have to tie any of this stuff to itself, splices down in the spool, what's the knot of choice?

use HI VIS yellow pp. I will try the suffix this year. I am a straight spinning fisherman and I love braid. I am crossing over to the dark side with two custom RS 1569 on spinning one casting with the 525 on the casting. Wish me luck and tight lines.:fishing:

was not so much that it blew up on my 525 but when it did I lost most of the spool full of line. It dug deep into the spool and cut! I had to cut the rest to get it off, it packed like a rock!:--|
This time I'm putting it on two 4600 liveliners for bait fishing, two 5000 stradics for casting to blues, and two abu 6500's for drifting for fluke. Not much chance of a blow up there and plenty of sensitivity.

I'm gonna try the crystal clear braid for throwin tins for Spanish & jigs for Pups. I'll let everyone know how it works in a couple months. But other than that hivis for me at nite, moss or whatever in the day.
