Just wondering . I'm an old harp and drum player from way back and have a deep love for the blues . I always have a harp in my pocket . Let me know some of your favorites . I'd love to hear from any of you southern folks that have local favorites . Here is one of my all-time faves . Know who ?http://www.cascadeblues.org/Legends/BuddyGuy/BuddyGuy.jpg

That is Buddy Guy, outstanding bluesman. I also like Bobby Bland, Etta James, Jimmy Smith and tons of others as well. I am from Hawaii and mainly listen to Hawaiian music but I really enjoy Blues as well.

grew up listening to blues, parents loved it, but now I'm more of a jazz man (lived in New Orleans for 4 musically formative years). The local blues guy I listen to becasue he's always playing the clubs in my area is Rev. Billie C Werts. Not the best in the world, but he's always playing at the local clubs and helps new guys get some local recognition. He works out of the local college radio (npr affiliate) so we always have great jazz on our npr station due to him.

Being a musician/music promoter the Blues have always been a favorite for me. Here's some of my clients which are excellent bluesicians and they and myself are also huge fans of Buddy Guy.

They're ALL good. good fishin music too. my dad actually got me into it he tells me stories of seeing guys like Big Bill Broonzy, John lee hooker, Muddy Waters, Johnny Winters, Sonny Boy Williams ...Howlin Wolf, back in the 60's

Great stuff.

I love that era of music in general -- rock, blues, country, motown rnb even big band and bubblegum music it was all awesome back then and even though i grew up in the 80's i would say 75% of my music collection is stuff from the 60's and 70's. Truly was the golden age for music

I was never a fan of the music at that time but the partying that went on was out of control ! Bret Reese, Steve Angel . I've got some pics from those days somewhere .:D Do you remember a bar called The Bastille ? Jeff was playing there the night of my Dad's funeral and dedicated a song to him . He , Ralph Mormon and a few other local rockers had spent some time at my folks condo in OC and I took them fishing . They were amazed that my Dad was up at 3:30 AM cooking us breakfast !
