What type of set up do you use for pompano? Do you use your long rod and go deep or do you fall back to a lighter set up?

I use a 9' Tica casting with a soft tip section and a ABU 5600c4 with 12lb Vanish. I killed them last year in Aug. around Ramp 27.

Oh yeah forgot my hand tied Pomp. rigs.
