With the success of FishBites Bloodworm alternatives, we will no doubt see competitors popping up.
I think Berkley has one. Below is a link to another.

anyone know of any others?

Since I am getting ready to put my veggie garden in I am getting my materials ready. I use Bone and Blood meal to balance the PH in my soils. I wonder if using blood meal as chum or to liquefy and then soak something in would work.

or you could buy some bloodworms. The fish seem to like them.

Use a bloodworm as an alternative to a bloodworm ??? What a novel idea :D

I've tried their catfish bait and never had a hit on it and did catch them while using other at the same time ... no more foodsource brand stuff for me

Bloodworms are my friends...until I cut their heads off...

I was only looking into alternatives because I often go fishing at weird hours and it can be hard to get bloodworms. Also, there isn't a great place to get them that is on the way.

I used to go WAY out of my way and stop at Holidays...maybe I'll have to start doing the same with Cheverlys...???

Later in the season, I stop at Wal-Mart in Bowie or the 7-11 in Annapolis. But in the spring they can be hard to find along 270-495-50.

We got them from Cheverly's last spring and man I had never seen anything like it...worms that'll take your pinky off. One got me the fish in my signature this time last year.

I bought some Berkley Gulp Bloods, peelers, clams & some sort of baitfish. I dont know how well they work but I like the idea of having some 'back up' bait in my surf bag for the same reasons that my hours differ from bait store hours sometime. There is a rebate on them now. you get $5 back for buying 2 packs. limit 2 refunds per address.
