I'm a surf fisherman from Staten Island,NY. I plan on taking a 2 or 3 month surf fishing odyssey from Sandy Hook,NJ down the eastern seaboard to Key West Florida, then up the gulf coast and finish up in Texas. Finally winding up fishing the race on Cape Cod for the fall run of Strippers in late September.
I'm looking for advice on places to fish on my adventure.

Now that sounds fun!!! You mention when and where you want to wrap it up. When are you starting the trip?

Welcome to the board. You would probably
get a lot more state based responses
if you posted this same thread on each
area (state) that you were interested in
visting.

I hope you got a lap-top and a good camera, where you can keep us posted of this Safari. I'd love to do the same thing when I retire, or hit the lotto....

When you get to Ga/Fla, you'll need to hit Tybee Island near Savannah, On to Brunswick, hit St. Simons Island Village Pier and East Beach, Jekyll Pier and the South end of Jekyll Island on the beach, once in Fla, you'll need to spend a day or two at Ft. Clinch in Fernandina, and fish the pier there, and the South end of Amelia Island, and Nassau Sound.

Stop off in Jacksonville, for a day or two at that Pier, and just North of St. Augustine, at Vilano Inlet.

You also DEFINITELY want to stop in Sebastian Fla, and fish the inlet, Both Pier and Surf.

Good luck, and keep us POSTED. If you start an ongoing chronicle, I can about guarantee better info, and maybe even some local guidance when you get down into Redneckconnectionville...;)

WELCOME...i to would say try posting by state...some places have slow times and it may be hard to time your trip to hit "HOT BITES" in every state...if you mix in some boat trips you should be fine...have fun:fishing:

Well when you make it down to tx,there a spot called charlies pasture in Port Aransas lots of flounder and reds in the area. Or maybe even the hottest pier on the gulf coast South Padre's very own Bob Hall Pier. Good luck !
