Just ordered the conversion kit

to convert my Squidder 140L to a 146L.

Going to use it from the beach.

Does anyone use the 146 for casting from the beach?

mag it and it will work well. I don't have one but it is still a popular reel in many parts of the US.

or with some accurate parts, maybe a red alum spool, a red frame, etc. Orest the master reel tricker outer. :D

I painted my 501 spool a nice blue color using automotive spray paint.

Maybe Chevy Yellow?

Speaking of tricking out . . . have you thought about somehow installing the shift knob from a car for the handle? I think a nice alu-minium ball would be great for some cranking power.
