It is just a green underwater light. Yes they will attract bait but there does need to be bait close enough to be attracted by it. Also I dont they would do to much standing on the shore. My Uncle has one (dont know if it is made by the same people) that he puts out on his dock up at lake Gaston. works pretty good on herring but its not magic there has to be fish in the area for it to work. So if you got a boat or a dock to put it on then if you got the scratch go for it. Also there is another site that will sell the parts and instructions to make your own for quite a bit less, just google greenlight fishing and you can check out some others.

Keepin how much you spend on tackle on the D/L from the misses....

You're doing good when ya can let yer wife think yer actually working and not fishing.....

If someone got amnesia in a bottle...betcha can make a million dollars..I'd slip that in tha wifey's water every weekend!...er day...:D

You can use that, orrrr just fish under a lit up bridge, by a lit dock, on a lit pier, and use that money for something that is actually worth buying.

Yeah the Slatwater secret and the evening fishing secret are the same thing just marketed differently. Like I said it is just a green fluoresent light. Look around and you will find cheaper alternatives for the same thing, but as Jettypark and Carolina Rebel said if if you are fishing from shore or somewhere that has a permenant light shining on the water then there is not much use for it.

I remember what my father told me "Most of the (new) stuff that comes out is to catch the fisherman not fish."
And how true it is.

Do it all the time with a lantern tied from a pier about three feet above the water.
Tons of bait circle the light, and the big ones are under them.
No special green light needed and its no secret been around for many years.
