Besides RED DRUM ($50 each rod) who else has crazy low prices on the LDX rods..?

that some shop was selling slight rejects (blemishes) but were still asking around $130.00
I can't imagine why RDT is selling them for that price, unless they just need the room for new inventory. I think I heard that price was just for spinning models, but not sure.
The AFAW 13' surf is a nice alternative, albeit more expensive, to the LDX.
If I decide to upgrade I may have to make someone a deal on my LDX ;)
Not quite ready for that move yet as I just picked up a Zzippy profile rod that is in the same class (as far as weight rating) as the LDX and AFAW surf.

I own an LDX and love the rod, however its not a practical rod to use in OBX especially if you are fishing the point. Given the current conditions at the point, most times you need a heaver that can sling 8N bait. The LDX sweet spot is 4-5oz, not including chunk bait. The HDX is would be a better choice if you are looking for an off the shelf rod. Regardless, I would jump at the opportunity to get a LDX for a c note that is a great bargain ! .
Just my 2 cents, Tightlines to all:beer:

99.95 only spinners left 50 for shipping.. Bout 6 or so left....Rod just does not work here on the banks.. Ain't got much use for a 5 once rod here... Great Deal though... JAM

99.95 is a great deal.. The problem is they wanna charge you 50 bucks shipping for each rod... Maybe i'm wrong but I believe they can ship more than one rod for 50 bucks...
kmw. its the tip section. 9ft tips are gonna kill you in shipping plus container. everywhere went up on shipping recently
After it is insured thats what it costs.. These rods hit the market for 239.95 so unless you live in Avon or RWS its worth the 50 to ship it.. But you are more than welcome to spend the 239.95 that they once cost else where Did not come here to sell them Just to offer a great deal seeing as how 150 of them are gone I guess it was.... JAM

I think the LDX is two equal sections- if not mistaken- 6'6" each(or just a hair longer)- but yeah shipping still sucks- Good excuse to ride down there- course gas ain't exactly cheap these days either.:--|

That's a rediculous statement. Who cares what they cost when they came out. Only thing that matters is what they cost now. They are almost always under $200. $189 is a common price.
Of course even at the crazy $50 shipping, that's 150 which is a good price.

...and I like it. I'm no long ranger, but I did manage to get 478' out of one with a Chrome Rocket at the SE tourney. I realize that the next closest to me was a 13 year old girl (Amanda Hill) and I was the last in A class, but sure make me happy!!:D
Good rod for 99 bucks.
