lynnhaven inlet by boat?

if i launch at lynnhaven, is the calmer back water a good area to fish or is it to shallow? what about going away from the inlet up the creek/ river? (what is that water body called anyway?)

you can catch puppy drum, spot, flounder, and specks back in Lynnhaven River along the grass lines and channel edges. If the "creek/river" area you are talking about is if you go straight out from the launch paralleling the bridge. You can go back up there and catch puppy drum, blues, schoolies, and some trout. That area ends up going into Broad Bay and at that point you could put in at First Landing.
