im sittin here with my old man going thorugh stuff he wants to part with & make some change on. we dunno anything bout this old arse 60s reel, a really big, old, cumbersome, slow retreive spinner made in germany. anybody know anything bout these reels? they worth anything. Its in really good shape surprisingly, drags still smooth, no rust at all, no pitting or green oxidation, reel seems able to fish too. I think of it more as something for the collectors shelf alongside my 980 & a few others, but gonna ask around here first so let em fly people.

I've got an old DAM Quick 550N my grandpa and Dad used to haul in huge blues when they made a huge run in something like '78 at the OBX. It needs a new anti-reverse dog spring, but other than that the thing seems absolutely bulletproof. The main gear in there looks about like 1st gear in my 4Runner, its a BEAST.

DAM Quick I have several of there reels from back in the 70's. They have been fished very hard in their day, they are very durable. Not much of a collector's market for them and parts are limited.
