I've eaten maybe 4 or 5 sharks this year. It's amazing how thick the more common ones are in the water this summer. Sharpnose, blacktip, bonnetheads, spinners, etc. I did stop sharkfishing about a month or two ago because too many people were copying my techniques (i.e. heavers) and I didn't want them to become too good at it. I figure with their current ideas on how to catch sharks, well, the sharks are in no great danger.

I had the honor of fishing with Capt. Frank Mundus and we got lucky and caught a Mako and I must admit it tasted a little like a swordfish but that was a long time ago and I haven't tried shark since then.

I have had shark once or twice, thought it was good..kinda like a beefy tuna. BUT I have also been rather disgusted by people cathcing and keeping the baby sharks. I think we need a size limit like NC. And shark FINNING just dosen"t bear mentioning!!!!
