i have a sl30sh , i used to have one on a 11ft rod , should i get another 11 or a 10 or 12 ?
would i get less distance with a ten opposed to a 11 or 12 ?
right now im thinking Om 10 casting because the 12 is massive in weight. what are your suggestions?
ill be using this for surf in the bay,and ocean.

is a great rod and not quite as heavy as the Heaver ....... it's rated 3-6 but I've thrown 10 with it a few times ... does 8 easily for me .... I've got an Abu 7500 on mine .... I have my 30 SHA on a HDX ... nice combo ..... not the prettiest setup on the beach but it's damn fishable ....... I'd vote for the 12' or better

here is a link to Randy's baitshop ... one of our finest sponsers .... great guy to deal with ... Now it won't take a full powercast From Paul Buyon but it throws 6-8 great for me ..... and I threw 10 several times with a good size chunk or head

but it's still a big rod ... Tsunami's are nice and a good bit lighter ..... the Om's are tuff like a tank though .....
