Line choice - Power Pro or Suffix Tri?

I've got it narrowed down to these two lines, the Power Pro braid or the Suffix Tri in 17#. I got a 525GS on a Tica 10'. Usually throwing 4-6 oz targeting Pomp, flounder, puppys, and blues. is it just personal preference or is there any good reasons why I should (or shouldn't) go with one or the other???

With what you are targeting I would see little or know advantage to the extra expense for the braid. I like braid for lures my self. For rolling surf I do better with Mono.

I love Suffix Tri..... I do use braid as a backing when I need some extra line capicty on my reels.

my sharking setup has 300 yd of 65lb powerpro with about 200 yards of 50lb berkley big game on top.

I hate tieing knots in braid! and its even bigger pain in my rear end when you get even the smallest of backlashes on the reel.

Id go with the mono on the beach and save the braid for the boat when your bottom fishing.
