We ate at the restaurant next to Seagull Pier at Cheasapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. It was pretty good even though the water tasted of lead... make sure you get a coke or some packaged beverage...
Waitress recommended the fish sandwich... it was huge... there is a bun under there. Fresh flounder!

Oh yeah.. I had that flounder sandwich couple of weeks ago. It was so big that I had to break it into 3 pieces to fit on the bun. :D

you guys took pics of your sandwiches?;) was fishing slow that day?:p :D
all kidding aside, we always stop at the seagull pier on our way to hatteras for a breakfast--the food is always good & hearty & served quickly...
but when i'm on my way to paradise, i don't think it much matters what they serve me...just so anxious at that point to get to the point if you get my point.
have never been disappointed in the food there.
and the sandwiches do look good -- that flounder looks like it would serve 2-3 ppl. :)
we had to feed the little ones or we'll be in trouble with the wardens. while seated at the table, we saw people pulling in fish after fish (small spot and croakers)...
Flounder did serve 3 people... I gave away quarter of it to the little ones... they liked it. :)

Hey Cyg,
When I saw it on the menu I didn't look further. In fact I think I told SeaSalt that same day I'd hope it was on the menu. :).

Absolutely right...;) NOTHING like a little piss-ant serving of fries to ruin an otherwise great meal.
I've noticed that it's normally the "slightly upscale" fast food places that do this. The sandwich kicks AZZ, but the trimmings are crap...
One place I frequent gives you cole slaw in one of those little plastic Solo dressing cups...:p
Drives me NUTZ, but then that's a pretty short trip...:D
On the other side of the coin, at another joint I eat at, they set a 1/2 pound hamburger on a pile of fries that covers the plate...
THAT'S what I'm talkin' about...:)

I don't know what it is about the burgers there, but DAYUM are they good after a long day on that pier.
The older woman that works at the counter is a trip. She'll make sure yah get taken care of if you hook her up with some fresh bluefish.
