At the very least he will have the best year of his career with the Jets, because he is going to get the ball in very creative ways often! I believe he's been waiting for an opportunity like this. An opportunity to show the full range of his ability and be the #1 ballcarrier!
What do you think?

i disagree :) the only team that matters in Ny is the giants hehe j/k
it all matter on his line i cant remmeber if the jets have a nice line or not but he should do better with the jets as the #1 back
reuben droughn should see his yards go up with the giants offensive line atleast thats what im hoping for :) and if that fails we still have brandon jacobs as a running back 6'4" 285lbs and fast as shiet

It is not always about the back ... do the Jets have a good Offensive line? If so then he should do very well. I remember seeing him play in college and he was a beast to bring down. He always ran all over Maryland.

i agree 100% i think the only back that did good without an offensive line was barry sanders

I agree ... but I say that without seeing a lot of Jim Brown. I have a feeling he was his own Offensive line back in the day!
I don't have high hopes for my Skins this year but I have this secret desire to see Ladell Betts supplant Portis as the number 1 back. Portis has skill and desire but personally I don't agree with anything he says/believes and I hate how he sticks up for players/peoples actions that are just not right ... well at least along the lines of what I believe the right thing to do is.
I think his success was more a product of the Denver O' Line than anything.
Ooops ... I did not hijack the thread but I think I made a left turn somewhere.

The Giants...My wife (she pays attention) doesn't think Eli has the same heart and desire for football his dad and brother do...she thinks it is the family business and Eli is just doing it because...not that he wants to...
I look forward to seeing Brandon Jacobs get more ball. He has potential and desire.
Tom Coughlin - should have been let go...there is positive and negative pressure...really think he brings a lot of the negative to his team.
Good luck to the Giants.
The Jets should be interesting to watch this year. The sked is much tougher than last year and NE has beefed up. My one desire when they hired Mangini was that everytime a team played us they would know they're in a fight. I think we'll accomplish that. I don't know if we'll have the most points enough times to make the playoffs.
Oh, and the line is not great (yet) but it is good. Nick Mangold (2nd yr center) and D'brick (#4 pick last year) will be around a long time.

i couldnt agree more with you eli is a bum people should have figured that when he was drafted by sandeigo and wouldnt play for them he starts the season out great then just messes up with his descion making. Personally i wish they still had jim fossel as there coach

What happened there with Fossel? The guy takes them to the superbowl and he doesn't last long? Definitely think that was a mistake.
